:: Saturday, November 23, 2002 :: WOW i feel like it has been forever since i have posted. i jsut got off the phone with mom, barrett and jack and i am in such a good mood... odd cause i just got off work! anyway. im dissappointed... i talked to mom only to find out that the house isnt going to be decorated for christmas when i get home.! GRRR thats so unlike her..it is usually started by halloween and finished by thanksgiving...and do you know her reasoning behind it?? she said that she thought i didnt like the house looking christmas-y so early....WHAT THE CRAP??? shes on crack! oh well.... jack was shocked by it too... hes a big christmas fan like me! oh well. i suppose it will be ok. so yeah...other than that...there is not too much out of the ordinary going on. this week has been less than amusing. i had the usual classes...however, i had a paper due tuesday in my religion class, a take home test due friday in my logic class and i have to email my paper to my ethics prof. by wednesday. so yeah...that hasnt been fun! my body has been so tired this week... i mean... physically as well as mentally and emotionally and any other possible way that one can be tired. i let myself skip classes on wednesday...i just had too... its been so much lately. between work and school and then the trip to westpoint last weekend....i just havent had a chance to recoup. oh well.. so for that reason i think next week will be good for me... a break and a change of pace. nothing pressing... just a break.:: Tuesday, November 19, 2002 :: what do you do when you see/hear something and you dont think that you were supposed to see/hear it. what if in a vague way there is a possibility that it pertains to you yet it still wasnt meant for you to see/hear? do you say something, or just try to block it out and pretend that you never heard/saw it? its tough. i hate crap like this cause the line is sooo blury. what are you supposed to do? are you supposed to respect other people's privacy and freedom of speech and ignore it or should you confront the issue? who knows. jsut had to get all that off my chest. i know it really had very little point but...it was on the brain!:: Monday, November 18, 2002 :: What a hectic feeling. i have been wanting to post on here but things have seemed so crazy. This week i have 3 papers due and work is a constant demand...especially now that we fired Alex...but believe me...him being gone is such a relief! it was so much stress. anyway... jacks surgery went well even though it lasted much longer than originally expected. i think he said it lasted 4 hours. he is quite swollen and sore. friday, work went well...nothing spectacular. saturday was a fun yet stressful day. i worked from 9-2 and then headed to West Point to see Fosse with Jack. what should have only taken an hour and a half to get there ended up taking nearly 3 hours thanks to the rain, fog, darkness, and the stupid Joe at the gate who sent me around the world telling me i was at the wrong gate. so anyway..i end up at a dunkin doughnuts where i met Marietta, a cadet who was off campus studying..she told me i could jsut follow her back to campus, so i did and guess where we went....TO THE SAME FREAKIN GATE WHERE I WAS IN THE FIRST PLACE! GRRRRRRRRR i was soooo angry. but eventually he let me in and i was able to meet up w/ jack. we went and grabbed som pizza for dinner. i felt so bad for him...he has this massive sling w/ a cushiony thing under his arm..its sooo bulky. then we went to see Fosse...even though the crap people at west point wouldnt let me use the cadet ticket that jack had gotten me...PUNKS. i thought Fosse was GREAT. it made me really wish i was the one on the stage dancing...i miss it soo much. i dont thing that jack was quite as impressed with fosse but he was a great spotrt about it. even the walk back to the car in the freezing cold rain, such a sport...injured and all. after the show... we drove around sleepy hollow and got a bit freaked out...turned around and managed to get back to west point without DYING. and i drove to newburgh to where i had reservations at super 8 motel. such a great nights sleep...all sprawled out in a bit king sized bed...all to myself. it was great. sunday morning i got up at 8:30 and got ready and then headed back to the academy again.as i went to the same gate as the day before ...they asked to search under my hood. first off, it took him forever to figure out how to open the hood which was funny but i mean really....do i look like the type that is gonna wire a bomb or something to my engine?jack gave me the grand tour even though i swear i had been lost enough on the campus that i could have given the BEST tour EVER on that place. there was one really great place on the water. it was so serene. a great place to reflect. we got lunch at the same place where we had dinner the night before and then i tortured him while i shopped in the USMA visitors center gift shop. i ended up complaining about the high prices and crappy selection of colors of butt shorts. the day was such fun. i hated to leave. the weather was cold and damp but we were still able to walk around part of the campus and make fun of the people who were in trouble and thus made to rake leaves and sweep sidewalks. HAHAHA> i even drove through one pile. and the kid who was raking looked at me as though i was the biggest jerk on the face of the planet. mom says i enjoy making enemies. funny...i tell the same thing to jack. oh well. so anyway. it only took me an hour and a half to get back home. THANK THE LORD! so the next trip to the academy shouldnt be too bad.
